Sidelines Grill is a great place to catch a game. Jeff Lever and Trevor Miller are both long-time Phoenix Cardinals’ season-ticket holders and never miss a home game. But when the Cardinals are on the road, they can still share camaraderie and cheer on the home team in the same building.

Only it obviously isn’t University of Phoenix Stadium, it’s Sidelines Grill in Chandler.

“This is a great place to watch a game,” Lever says. “The food is great and there are televisions all over the place,”

Miller will come to Sidelines to watch the games even through he spends some of his working hours at the bar and grill, located at Alma School Road and Queen Creek Boulevard. Sidelines features three 60-inch plasma screen monitors and numerous 50-inch screens that show games from all angles of the restaurant.

Owners Paul and Kristina Grako say all NFL games will be available at Sidelines, along with numerous NCAA games on Saturdays and various other sporting events. Sidelines also features a breakfast menu during NFL Sundays.

Lever, a 12-year season ticket holder, is excited for the upcoming Cardinals’ season. He says the teams’ playoff run to the Super Bowl was a pleasant surprise, even though they lost in the last minutes of the game.

“I truly believe they will be as good as they were last season,” Miller says. “Coach (Ken) Whisenhunt is really making a difference on this team.”

Watching the games on television is only half the experience. You don’t have to go through the trouble of tailgating in the parking lot because the food at Sidelines is just as good. Favorite items are burgers, wings and chili. Sidelines also offers great happy hour specials from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and late-night reverse happy hour specials from 10 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday as well.
